Thanks to its durability and resistance to water staining, mango wood can withstand a little abuse with minimal upkeep, making it the ideal material for those high traffic pieces like dining and coffee tables.<\/p>\n

The wood itself is easily grown, compared to oak for example, with a tree reaching maturity in fifteen or twenty years, versus the one hundred years it can take for an oak tree to grow. At their full height, they cannot be used for the cultivation of fruit, so they are harvested and replaced with new trees. This allows for the sustainable cultivation of the wood and a reasonable livelihood for those who engage with it.<\/p>\n
