For most of us, living on a sprawling country estate isn\u2019t in the cards. The urban jungle is more common, with huge numbers of us living in smaller, city dwellings with little to no green space attached.<\/p>\n

You can bring the garden inside with terrariums that will green up your space in a totally manageable way:<\/p>\n

The look and feel of summer needs light, as do the plants you have just brought indoors! If natural light isn\u2019t abundant in your space, add soft lighting and mirrors, which will reflect indoor and the available natural light gently, throughout the room.<\/p>\n

Ideally, you can layer your lighting by having multiple sources, at different heights, as opposed to one source. The latter can be much harsher because in order to be bright enough to be functional, you will need a high wattage.<\/p>\n

Diffused, colored lighting \u2014 using lightly tinted bulbs or shades \u2014 is the most flattering and can warm up a darker space in an instant.<\/p>\n

Animal prints are a fun way to bring a little whimsy into your home. Of course, you need to balance such a vibrant and eye-catching print with complementary but more muted tones.
